The key to a smooth transition with any process change is proper preparation. Jarrett Logistics Systems has a very thorough process to implement a new client to ensure that they are fully ready to handle the business from all angles. The functional areas involved in an implementation may include, but are not limited to: systems setup, carrier notification, operational procedures documentation, supplier communication, purchase order changes, reporting requirements, and overall training of JLS team members on the customers business. JLS is an extension of your business therefore we need to know everything possible about how you conduct your business.
A standard implementation period takes approximately 6-8 weeks and concludes with an Implementation Kick-off meeting with you and your team. The kick-off meeting typically occurs 2-3 weeks prior to the start-up date. This allows for you to meet your JLS operational team, discuss your specific operational procedures and ensure open lines of communication. After this meeting, we finalize any business and system requirements, and ensure our operational team is prepared for your start-up date. Communication, communication, communication - this is the key to any successful relationship.
JLS will hold a formal review session to discuss the first 30 days of business. We realize that this is the time when most questions arise in a new relationship. We can also hold review sessions at 90 days, 6 months and 1 year. JLS is willing to meet as often as a customer wants in order to manage their transportation process.
Client Relationship Management – JLS knows the value of a great customer relationship. We are in business to develop long-term partnerships and we want to help our customers work toward their short & long-term company goals. Our Logistics Managers are responsible for the customer relationship and to ensure all day-to-day activities and customer requirements are met by our team. At JLS, we take pride in being a proactive logistics provider.
